Lake Street Presbyterian Church supports the following organizations:

St. Pauly Textile Shed
St. Pauly is dedicated to helping local non-profit community organizations with their fundraising. We do so by setting up sheds for the collection of usable clothing and then distributing the donations to people that can use them, in the U.S. and developing countries. We compensate our non-profit partners for the clothing collected at their sheds.

The monies raised from this project will go to support our outreach programs.

Church World Services
Lake Street Presbyterian Church is a proud partner of Church World Services an organization that works to eradicate hunger and poverty and promote peace and justice around the world.

As a body, we support CWS by donating supplies that are used in putting together kits that are shipped to people in need around the world and in our local community. Examples of some kits are: school kits, hygiene kits, baby kits, and emergency clean-up buckets.

Your continued support of this program is very important and helps to ensure these kits are available for immediate response after a disaster in another part of the world or here in the U.S. For more information on Church World Services, please visit www.churchworldservices.org.

CROP Hunger Walk
Many of our members walk each year to take a stand against hunger in our world. Together we raise awareness and funds for local hunger fighting, as well as international relief and development.

The Salvation Army Safe House
Each year at Christmas, members of the Lake Street Presbyterian Church collect toys and personal care items for The Salvation Army Safe House, a shelter for women and children of domestic violence.

One Great Hour of Sharing
Lake Street Presbyterian Church joins with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share Gods love with people experiencing need. Our gifts support ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, and community development that help people find safe refuge, start new lives, and work together to strengthen families and communities. The funds donated to the One Great Hour of Sharing go to the Presbyterian Hunger Program, the Self-Development of People program, and the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program.

Presbyterian Peacemaking Program
The body of the church participates financially in the nation-wide Peacemaking campaign of the Presbyterian Church USA. The Presbyterian Peacemaking Program has been helping the church grow in its witness and commitment to peacemaking for more than twenty-five years. We at Lake Street Presbyterian Church have developed a variety of resources, events, and programs to assist the church as it responds to the gospel calling to "seek peace and pursue it." Our work includes: conferences, seminars, International Peacemakers, and Travel Study Seminars, leadership development and support, as well as Young Adult peacemaking leadership development.

2 Cents per Meal
Lake Street Presbyterian Church contributes food donations to the Presbytery of Geneva 2 Cents per Meal program, which supports 14 food pantries in the 5 counties of the Presbytery. The contributions that we at the church provide support the food pantry at North Presbyterian Church in Elmira, NY.

Childrens Clothes Tree at Trinity Episcopal Church
Clothing donations provided by the members of Lake Street Presbyterian Church go directly to children in the local community through the Childrens Clothes Tree at Trinity Episcopal Church in Elmira.

Second Place East
Lake Street Presbyterian Church supports Second Place East both financially and with start-up kits. The start-up kits are given to young people coming out of foster care and for the first time living on their own. The kits include personal care items, household items, cleaning supplies, linens, etc.
